One Year before the Wedding:

- Discuss the wedding budget with both sets of parents.
- Choose the date. (Have a 2nd choice just in case)
- Arrange to meet the clergy who will perform the ceremony.
- Check out and book bands, reception hall, caterers, florist, etc.
Six months before the Wedding:

- Book photographer
- Start assembling guest list…tell your fiancé’s family to do the same.
- Choose & inform your attendants-order wedding/bridesmaid dresses.
- Register for china, crystal, linen, flatware, etc.
- Discuss honeymoon plans, visit travel agent.
Four months before the Wedding:

- Help select groom’s tux.
- Complete guest list-order invitations and other stationary needs.
- Book honeymoon (passports also).
- Shop for wedding bands.
- Register for premarital classes.
- Meet with musicians to select music.
Two months before the Wedding:

- Order the wedding cake
- Make-up and hair consultation
- Finalize the reception menu
- Address invitations, RSVP cards-mail out-The invitations should arrive six weeks before the wedding.
- Arrange for limousine or other transportation for wedding party.
- Fitting for wedding gown-arrange bridesmaids fittings.
One month before the Wedding:

- Final dress fittings
- Purchase groom’s & attendants gifts
- Write (and send) thank-you notes as gifts are received. Keep a list.
- Schedule rehearsal one week prior to the wedding.
- Arrange accommodations for out of town guests.
- Confirm details with caterer, florist, photographer, musicians, etc.
- Confirm hair dresser, make-up
Two weeks before the Wedding:

- Review all transportation arrangements
- Continue with thank-you notes.
One week before the Wedding:

- Check on final details with all vendors scheduled.
